Joba had a trampoline accident yesterday

Maybe the Joba Rules should have indicated no trampoline jumping.

While Joba Chamberlain was recovering from Tommy John Surgery, he decided yesterday to hop on a trampoline with his son. Unfortunately for Joba, he dislocated his ankle and went under the knife, Jack Curry tweeted. Now Brian Cashman doesn't know if he'll ever pitch again.

Andy Pettitte signs minor-league deal with Yankees

Just as Bernie Williams gave fans hope by never officially retiring, Andy Pettitte never officially hung up his cleats. He just said, "I will not pitch this season," referring to last year. He didn't come back then, when the Yankees really lacked depth in their rotation. Now, when the Yankees have a surplus of starters, Pettitte is back, signing a one-year, $2.5 million minor-league deal.

The 39-year-old probably won't be ready for Opening Day, but he could certainly help them when he is at full strength.

It pains me that I haven't been blogging here daily, but I will take any chance I get to provide my followers with content. My most recent work for Boston.com is a comparison between the Yankees and Red Sox. Who doesn't like to scout their archrivals? I asked the fans who they thought had the edge at each position for Boston.com, but below I provide my picks and analysis.
