Should the Yankees have done more this offseason?
Even though I wasn't blogging for most of it, I didn't miss any big moves by Brian Cashman – because there haven't been any.
The Yankees re-signed Freddy Garcia, and more recently they brought back Andruw Jones. Those are Cashman's two biggest moves this offseason, making it pretty evident that Cashman either was not very fond of this year's free agent market, or that he is confident in his current team.
The Red Sox have bolstered their bullpen through trades while the Yankees have not. This might have to do with the Yankees' list of prospects, which is stacked at the top with Jesus Montero, Dellin Betances, Manny Banuelos and Gary Sanchez.
Perhaps Cashman believed in his prospects more than in what was available. Maybe he's right, maybe he's wrong. We won't know, of course, for another 15 years when these prospects are either on their ways to Hall of Fame careers, out of baseball, or somewhere in between.
So, this poll is pretty much putting the fan in Cashman's shoes. Would you have done more? Less? Anyone in particular that he missed out on? Cast your vote on the left.
