The Blue Jays gave the Yankees a wake up call last night, using the longball and great pitching from Brett Cecil to beat the Yankees 6-1.
Best of all: Sergio Mitre pitched two shutout innings in relief of A.J. Burnett. That’s about it — no Yankee had more than one hit.
Worst of all: Burnett. He allowed six runs on six hits and four walks to follow up his eight-inning, no-walk performance.
Coming up: The Yankees play this afternoon for a chance to tie the series.
