Jon Heyman is reporting via twitter that the talks between Andy Pettitte and the Yankees have sped up and a deal “will be finalized today.”
This, folks, is very good for the Yankees. Not re-signing Pettitte would have been a crime since he wanted to stay in New York.
UPDATE: Pettitte will sign a 1-year, $11.75 million deal.
