The Yankees started the month winning two of three from the Mariners and the Twins before sweeping the Twins and getting swept by the Angels. The Yanks seemed to enjoy the All-Star break, as they won their first eight games against the Tigers, Orioles and Oakland. The A’s took one win in the four-game series, and then the Yanks took two of three from the Rays. The White Sox won the last two games of the month.
