In-game update: Joba allows four in the first

Unlike last night's in-game update, this one is not quite so pleasant.  In tonight's game, the first three Red Sox hitters singled against Joba Chamberlain, and then Jason Bay drove in the two remaining on base with a three-run homer to make it a 4-0 lead.

Luckily, Chamberlain managed to turn a double play to get out of the inning, but the damage was done.  If you are already counting the Yankees out, you will feel a little better knowing that Josh Beckett's ERA in his past two starts is 13.90.

Bay has killed the Yankees this year.  Ten days ago, his ninth-inning homer drove in the first two runs against Mariano Rivera.  He hit what proved to be the game-winning two-run homer last night.  And now this.  He is killing the Yankees just like the man he replaced did, Manny Ramirez.
